Danish Mid-Century Teak Dining Or Card Table By Skovmand & Andersen
A compact Danish Mid-Century teak extending dining or card table by Skovmand & Andersen. Designed by Hans Skovmand and manufactured in the early 60's with beautiful Danish Modern design elements. Beautiful colour and vibrant teak grain pattern are the hall marks of this stunning dining table. The table is a solid wood table. The skirting and legs are made of solid teak. While the top and leaves are thick, high grade, teak veneer over mahogany. A beautifully designed table that is wonderfully compact. Yet it can expand effortlessly when needed. Illustrating the design brilliance, the leaves and table top are recessed to meet each other perfectly when expanded. The 2 draw leaves conveniently slide under the table top for a clean presentation when they are retracted. No more running to your storage locker when you have guests! Simply lift the top and slide each, or both, of the leaves out to extend the table. Seats 4 comfortably with no leaves extended and up to 8 with both extensions pulled out. You can extend only 1 leaf or both simultaneously. The leaves are both a good colour and grain match to the table top due the wonderful full refinish the table received. The gorgeous, round, solid teak legs easily remove for moving or storage. Given the compact dimensions, this table could be a great extending dining room table, games room, kitchen table or a small meeting room table.
