Danish Mid-Century Teak Extendable Compact Desk
A beautiful, early 60’s Danish Mid-Century teak extendable compact desk with a finished back. A wonderful example of beautiful Scandinavian design. The single drawer pedestal has 2 drawers. Each of the solid wood frame drawers has a gorgeous eye shaped solid teak handle. These solid teak handles are reminiscent of the work of Arne Vodder as is the sliding extending top design. The legs and trim are also solid teak. The innovation with this desk is that it has a drop leaf extension. This enables the desk surface to extend by another 16". Wonderfully compact at just 48" without the extension, yet can also provides ample area for working. Finished back, enables you to place it in the centre of a room. Gorgeous, well maintained the wood has been regularly oiled and has nice grain pattern and colour. Very solid and sturdy. It will fit seamlessly into any decor due to it's compact size and openness. The individual drawers slide easily.
