Danish Mid-Century Teak Square Coffee Table By Grete Jalk
A truly wonderful Danish Mid-Century teak square coffee table designed by Grete Jalk. Dating to the late 50's- 60's the table features a stunning, thick, upward raised solid teak trim around the perimeter. This not only keeps things from slipping off the table, but also provides some design sophistication. Like all of Jalk's work the table features a streamlined profile with beautiful colour and variegation throughout. Solid teak round tapered legs with cross bracing for added structure make this table strong and sturdy but oh so beautiful. At under 28" it is a highly sought after, more compact size. Originally purchased in the early 60's and single owner for its lifetime. This would be ideal as a compact coffee table or in a corner between 2 sofas/ chairs. It would also work well in a commercial office setting. Perfect for those mornings spent reading the news with a coffee or evenings crafting with the kids.
