A truly exceptional Mid-Century Modern solid walnut daybed in the style of Ib Kofod Larsen. Designed and manufactured in the early 1960’s to the highest level of craftsmanship and quality. This daybed features a solid walnut frame with exceptional grain pattern and a beautiful warm colour. New charcoal mohair upholstery sits on the solid walnut frame. The deep seat cushion sits on steel sinuous springs. A rear wedge cushion sits on a bottom flat deep cushion. In this configuration it is the perfect elegant sofa for entertaining or curling up with a good book. Remove the wedge cushion to create he comparable space of a twin bed. You also reveal the gorgeous solid walnut spindle backrest. This is perfect for a compact guest room, basement or a den. Providing both daily comfort and an extra bed! Also ideal for a loft or an elegant home away from home.
