Large Mid-Century Danish Teak 4 Door Sideboard
This large Mid-Century Danish teak 4 door sideboard is a truly spectacular and rare item. It was purchased from the original owners who had it since the 1950's and lovingly cared for it. This is an heirloom quality piece which is stamped with the Danish furniture control stamp indicating a pre 1960 date of manufacture. This item exhibits all the best features of great mid century design: quality of construction, open, streamlined and highly functional. Very, very high quality piece: Solid teak used throughout. The item has gorgeous colour and the grain pattern is exceptional. It features 4 easy opening doors for a clean and streamlined appearance. Behind the first set of doors you will find 3 solid wood, dove tailed, felt lined drawers an adjustable/ removable shelf and storage. The second set of doors open to reveal and large storage area with 2 adjustable and removable shelves. The entire interior is fully finished making this piece as beautiful inside as it is out!
The star of show are the bent and curved teak handles which adorn each door. While a solid teak bullet nose edge runs the entire front perimeter. Finished with a wood backer board. A truly exceptional addition for any dining room or put it in your living area to house your Flat Screen T.V. But lets face it, this item will make ANY room more beautiful. Confirmed through Instagram - this was made by Bernhard Pedersen & Sons in the late 50's.
