An absolutely spectacular Mid-Century Danish round extending rosewood dining table by Bernhard Pedersen and Sons with 2 leaves. Seats from 4 - 10 easily; 12 in a pinch. Gorgeous colour and grain pattern on the entire table. One leaf is very slightly darker but still an excellent match to table top. The other leaf is an excellent match. As with all of Bernhard Pedersen and Sons production of the Mid-Century period, only the finest craftsmanship and materials were used.This tabletop is constructed of solid wood with a thick, high grade Brazilian rosewood veneer over a solid wood base. The edge of the table, which runs the entire perimeter, is solid Brazilian rosewood. As is the solid rosewood pedestal base. Brazilian rosewood, is highly valued for it's incredible beauty, colour and grain pattern. The pedestal legs are not only beautiful. They enable more people to sit around the table as they do not encumber people at the ends. Because of the easy way it extends this table would be equally comfortable in a condo or a spacious dining room. It would also be a luxurious conference room table.
