Mid-Century Teak and Rosewood Dining Table by R Huber
A wonderful early 60's Mid-Century teak and rosewood dining table by R Huber with a generous butterfly / pop up leaf. This dining table has typical mid century openness. Gorgeous colour and grain pattern on the entire teak top, including the butterfly leaf. The butterfly leaf stores inside of the table and unfolds to extend the table for a comfortable seating of 8 - 10 when inserted. Smooth sliding action on the top allows one person to open or close this table. Thick, solid rosewood, skirting and legs. The four, tapered, solid rosewood legs are also easily removable for moving or storage. A fabulous bullet edge detail runs around the entire table including the leaf. and makes the table seem thinner and smaller.
R Huber was an amazing Canadian producer of better Mid-Century Modern furniture. Famous for their iconic "scoop" chair and sofa, they also produced great dining tables, chairs and sideboards. All of their furniture was designed in Denmark.
With it's gorgeous colour and ability to extend, this table is perfect for a condo or as the main table for your dining area. The leaf enables the table to be extended significantly for larger gatherings. Expands from 6 - 10 seating.
