This rare Danish Modern rosewood sideboard by Skovby Mobelfabrik is an exceptional, heirloom quality item. Attributed to the Mid-Century Modern design great, Henry Rosengren Hansen in the late 60's. Also called a credenza, buffet or server. Single owners who purchased it in the late 1960's and lovingly cared for it. This sideboard features an extremely gorgeous Brazilian / Rio rosewood exterior with a white oak interior. This is an extremely rare piece of Scandinavian Modern design. Wonderfully long, tall and streamlined with quality of craftsmanship. Featuring 4 outward opening doors. The 4 doors hide incredibly generous storage areas. When open, the the first 2 doors reveal a double sized storage area with two, long removable and adjustable shelves. The other doors open to showcase a storage area with a single adjustable shelf and 4 felt lined white oak drawers. The interior of the storage area is fully finished in white oak veneer. Making this piece beautiful, both inside and out! A solid rosewood edge band runs the entire front perimeter. Each of the 4 doors has a solid Rio/ Brazilian rosewood inset, eye shaped, handle. The grain pattern and colour throughout is just amazing. This is a truly exceptional addition for any room in your house.
