Solid Teak Extending Dining Table By Ib Kofod Larsen

A simply stunning Danish Mid Century solid teak extending dining table attributed to Ib Kofod Larsen. An impressive dining table from all viewpoints. A thick solid teak edge runs around the perimeter of the table and showcases the incredible grain pattern of the wood. Similar to Larsen's most famous dining table for Faarup, the edge has a slight curve where it accommodates the legs. Fabulous colour and craftsmanship throughout, typical of the Danish Modern movement. The star of this show is the stunning grain pattern extends around the table. The solid teak "H shaped" legs are solid and sturdy, yet can be removed for moving or storage.
The generous leaf stores externally. As is evident, the leaf a perfect match to the rest of the table. Grand when fully extended, the table is also perfect for daily meals. Sits 6 - 8 without the leaves; 8 - 10 with the leaf inserted. The oval shape and extra width is convenient for larger gatherings. Single owners who made this a wonderful family dining table for 50+ years. Alternatively it would also make a spectacular boardroom table.

L = 68.5"; 90" with leaf
W = 42”
H = 29.5"
