It's your family's home, why settle? Come to VHB for authentic Mid-Century Modern furniture, eco-friendly furniture refinishing and upholstery and custom locally made sofas & chairs!
Vintage Home Boutique is a Toronto-based, Mid-Century Modern and custom furniture store with a strong focus on quality, service, and sustainability. Do you love the lines, style and quality of furniture from the 50's - 70's? Do you need a sofa that is bigger, smaller, or a different colour than standard? Perhaps you have a cherished item from a loved one that has seen better days? If you said yes to any of these questions, you know how hard it is to find solutions for all of these things under one roof..... until now!
Whether you are looking for quality Mid-Century Modern furniture or made-to-measure or eco-friendly sofas and chairs that are made in Toronto, we have everything you need to make your home stylish AND comfortable. As an added value, if you are interested in having your own furniture restored, our expert craftswoman and her team will be happy to assist you with furniture refinishing and reupholstery using products that are as sustainable as possible and still effective.
Looking to sell your Mid-Century Modern furniture? Keep in mind that not everything made in the period was great. We are selective, as our customers deserve us to be. You can find out more about selling to us here.
We offer an evolving line of furniture pieces. Our passion and focus is authentic Mid-Century Modern or Danish Modern furniture. Vintage teak furniture is a particular specialty of ours. Additional items include salvaged lighting, accessories, and locally produced art.
We are also proud to retail newly manufactured custom sofas and chairs by Brentwood Classics. These custom sofas and chairs have one of the best warranties in the business AND they are all made right here in Toronto! This allows us to stay in contact with the manufacturer and go see each item before it goes to your home. Conveniently, if you don't see a style you love on our sales floor, we can book you into the Brentwood showroom where they have almost every item for you to try out. Come in and choose from the 400+ fabrics or 100 whole grain leathers we have in store!
In addition, we also work with a local 3rd-generation master carpenter to produce live edge and barnboard tables in any size and shape you desire. All of our live edge and reclaimed tables are made with locally sourced, kiln-dried wood and can be fully customized to your desires.
Can't find the right home decor accessory to enhance your room's look? Looking for a great housewarming present? We stock an ever-changing assortment of pillows, clocks, bookends, table decor, wall decor, candle sticks, and lanterns. We also are proud to allow local artists to show in store for free. We are currently showing works by Amy Walsh-Harris.
We provide a few additional services to meet your needs:
- In-store eco-friendly furniture refinishing and reupholstery.
- Canada-wide delivery services
- Custom finding to find you that hard to find Mid-Century Modern item
Keith and Maureen started Vintage Home Boutique as an online business in 2012. Quickly making a name for themselves off their growing internet presence, their e-commerce success lead to the launch of their first retail location in October 2014.
Expanding on their love for high quality Mid-Century Modern furnishings, Keith and Maureen have paired with furniture designer Brentwood Classics, offering eco-friendly, custom made sofas and chairs. The couple have a knack for finding pieces that have retained that mid-century charm, seeking out rare gems that, when matched with the right furniture, can give any vignette, bed or dining room a modern look, with that timeless feel. For more information, check out an interview with them from 2016 with very talented videographer Alex Gladwell, also embedded below. Check Alex out for weddings and retail store videos too.
We are always interested in meeting talented, outgoing people who love helping customers & LOVE Mid-Century Modern furniture. If that's you, drop in, say hi, and bring a resume! Or email us here.
